Software allows printing from Palm OS
 posted: Tuesday, August 26, 2003

TORONTO Epson Canada Ltd. and Bachmann Software have developed Epson-compatible mobile printing software for printing fully formatted text, as well as some graphics, from handheld computers based on the Palm OS.

As part of the initiative, Epson and Bachmann worked together to add graphical printing support for most Epson ink jet printers to Bachmann Software's popular PrintBoy software for Palm OS handhelds. With PrintBoy, handheld users can print fully formatted documents, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, calendars and other documents from the Palm OS-compatible applications, including DataViz' Documents To Go and Smart List To Go, Cutting Edge's QuickOffice, and DDH's HandBase. PrintBoy supports direct printer connections from the handheld to Epson printers using Bluetooth, 802.11b (Wi-Fi), wired networks, and infrared through Bachmann Software's InfraReady Plus printer adapter.

PrintBoy Premium with Epson driver support is available directly from Bachmann Software at http://www.bachmannsoftware.com. A free trial version can also be downloaded from Epson's web site and is included with the purchase of the Bluetooth Print Adapter from Epson (available at www.epson.com/bluetooth).
